INNA ROOTIKAL STYLE, EVERYTIME!

Jah Rootikal Steppers is the brainchild of longtime reggae fan Si Gains. In the 70s, after listening to people like The Upsetters, Prince Far I, Tappa Zukie and King Tubby, he started collecting reggae vinyl, and he now owns thousands of records.

A multi-instrumentalist, Si enjoyed success between 2000 and 2004, releasing a number of singles and an album, and appearing on several compilations as Dubclash. Based in Grimsby, England, Si has been playing in several local bands of various styles. In 2013, he got together with Sam Aisthorpe, Ellis Blake and O Roy to record the 'Jah Rootikal Steppers' album at his home studio. The set was released by Dubkey in November.

December 2013 saw the release of Jah Rootikal Steppers first net single 'Praise Up Tafari/Rootikal House of Dread'.

Both the album and the single have been well received and have enjoyed worldwide airplay.

A second album is now in the works,
